This vessel is the first in a series of six vessels that are to be built at the Severnaya Verf shipyard in St. Petersburg. The owner of this design are the Norebo group, one of Russia's largest owner of fishing vessels. Construction of the first vessel "Kapitan Sokolov" began in late 2018 and aims to complete at the end of 2019. Five additional vessels of the same design will follow quickly.
